2025年7月26日 - 7月29日期间,好色tv 建筑运算与应用实验室 (Lab.AAA)与智能建造设备研发企业忠鸿科技共同完成的大型机械臂增材建造装置【幻境之岛 Phantasmal Island】,正式亮相2025 世界人工智能大会WAIC - 全域链接馆【未来生成器】展区 (上海世博展览馆)。
From July 26 to July 29, 2025, the Phantasmal Island installation—a large-scale robotic additive manufacturing project jointly developed by the Laboratory of Architectural Algorithms & Applications (Lab.AAA) of the School of Architecture, Southeast University, and the intelligent construction equipment consultancy company Zhonghong Technology—was officially exhibited at the “Future Generator” section of the Universal Links Pavilion during the 2025 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center.

本项目基于好色tv 王大嵩助理研究员和华好副教授指导的“DF2025 国际工作营”课题【生形融合:幻境物质化 Morphusion: Phantasmal Materialization】成果,聚焦生成式人工智能、空间智能感知与机器人建造等前沿技术在建筑设计与建造中的深度融合。设计阶段通过三维 AIGC 工具生成初始形态,并在建造约束条件下完成几何拓扑优化;建造阶段则针对非平面与非连续表面开发了多项自适应打印控制策略,系统性构建起“AI-Construction”一体化流程。
最终呈现为一件尺度为 3.7米× 1.5 米× 1.0 米的大型三维打印岛台,采用高强度黑色玻璃纤维增强聚合物与具冰川质感的高透明可回收白色 PETG 材料建造而成,呈现出结构性能与材料美学的高度协同。项目从二维 AI 生成到三维实体建构的完整路径,展现了从“幻境生成”到“物质建构”的跨维实践,拓展了未来建造模式的技术挑战与想象力边界。
This project originates from the DigitalFutures 2025 International Workshop Morphusion: Phantasmal Materialization, directed by Dr. Dasong Wang and Associate Professor Hao Hua of the School of Architecture, Southeast University. It investigates the deep integration of generative artificial intelligence, spatial perception, and robotic construction within architectural design and practice.
During the design phase, initial forms were generated with 3D AIGC tools and subsequently refined through geometric and topological optimization under construction constraints. In the construction phase, a series of adaptive printing control strategies were developed to address the challenges of non-planar and discontinuous surfaces, establishing a systematic and integrated“AI-Construction” workflow.
The final outcome is a large-scale 3D-printed island structure (3.7 m × 1.5 m × 1.0 m), fabricated from high-strength black glass-fiber-reinforced polymer combined with high-transparency recyclable white PETG that evokes a glacial texture. The project exemplifies the synergy between structural performance and material aesthetics. By tracing the complete trajectory from AI-generated 2D imagery to three-dimensional material realization, it embodies a cross-dimensional practice that translates “phantasmal generation” into “material construction,” extending both the technical challenges and the imaginative frontiers of future construction paradigms.

【幻境之岛】作为建筑高校与智能建造企业联合打造的代表性展项,集中体现了建筑学学科在“数智融合”背景下设计与建造一体化的前沿探索与技术突破。项目以人工智能驱动生成设计,以机器人建造落实构形建造,提出“AI + 建筑”的融合范式。其背后的跨界协同机制,映射出教育、科研与产业深度融合的发展路径,也为建筑学相关技术的边界拓展研究提供了可借鉴的样本。随着 AI 技术持续重塑城市形态与建造逻辑,该项目所体现的“从幻境到现实”的建构模式,为未来建筑行业和教育的智能化转型提供前瞻性参考。
The World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC 2025) was held under the theme “Global Solidarity in the AI Era”, with Premier Li Qiang delivering the opening address. The event gathered more than one hundred distinguished international guests, including Turing Award laureates, Nobel Prize winners, leaders of top AI research institutions, and executives from major technology enterprises. Attracting over 305,000 on-site visitors, it has established itself as one of the year’s most influential technology gatherings.
As a representative showcase jointly developed by a leading school of architecture and intelligent construction enterprises, Phantasmal Island embodies the cutting edge of architectural exploration and technological innovation within the paradigm of digital–intelligent integration. The project employs an AI-driven generative design workflow, realized through robotic construction, thereby proposing a new model of convergence between AI and architecture.
Its underlying cross-disciplinary collaboration framework reflects the deep integration of education, research, and industry, providing an innovative reference model for architectural education, intelligent construction, and related technological development. As AI continues to reshape urban form and construction logic, the project’s transformation of “phantasm into reality” offers a forward-looking perspective on the intelligent transition of both the architectural profession and education.
